1.Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service and improve it:

2.How we use your information

To provide the Service — generate your content, save your library, manage your plan and credits.
To process payments, prevent fraud, and send receipts and important service notices.
To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service and develop new features.
To respond to your requests and provide support.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

We rely on your consent (which you can withdraw), the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running a secure service, and legal obligations as the bases for processing.

3.AI processing & third-party model providers

SquidFace generates content using its own in-house models together with leading third-party AI models. To create your output, the prompt and any source media you provide are sent to the relevant model or provider for processing:

SquidFace in-house models — SquidVision (image), SquidMotion (video), SquidVolume (voice), SquidBeats (music) and SquidFX (VFX): our own proprietary generation models and pipelines.
Google (Gemini & Veo) — video, image, avatar, and chat generation.
Seedance (BytePlus) — video generation.
Lightricks (LTX-2.5) — video generation with synchronized audio.
MidJourney — image generation.
Suno — music generation.
Anthropic (Claude) — chat, prompt-writing, and text generation.
ElevenLabs and OpenAI — voice / text-to-speech.
HeyGen — talking-avatar generation.

These providers process your inputs and outputs under their own terms and privacy policies solely to return your result. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information in prompts or uploads. You are responsible for having the rights to any material you upload (for example a photo or voice used for an avatar or voice clone).

4.Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway. When you pay, your card, UPI, net-banking, or wallet details are entered in Razorpay's secure interface — SquidFace never receives, sees, or stores your full card or banking details. We retain only the transaction reference, amount, currency, plan/credits purchased, and invoice records needed for accounting, receipts, and support. Razorpay processes payment data under its own privacy policy.

5.Cookies & similar technologies

We use a small number of cookies and local browser storage that are strictly necessary to run the Service — for example to keep you signed in (including a shared sign-in across squidface.ai and api.squidface.ai) and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Sign-in features and payments may set essential third-party cookies (Google, Razorpay). You can clear cookies in your browser, but the Service may not work correctly without the necessary ones.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:

With service providers who process it on our behalf — the AI providers above, our payment processor (Razorpay), cloud hosting and storage (Google Cloud), and email delivery — under contracts that limit their use to providing the service.
Publicly, only for content you explicitly choose to publish (e.g. to Explore) — that content and your public creator name/picture become visible to others.
For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of SquidFace, our users, or the public.
In a business transfer — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

7.Data retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual creations at any time. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (such as invoices and transaction logs) to meet legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations.

8.Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, hashed credentials, and reputable cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address any incident.

9.Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live (including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the GDPR), you may have the right to:

Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data (you can edit much of it in your profile).
Delete your data / account.
Withdraw consent or object to certain processing.
Portability — receive your data in a portable format, and lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these, email contact@squidface.ai. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10.International data transfers

SquidFace operates globally and uses cloud and AI providers that may process data in countries other than yours. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.

11.Children

The Service is intended for users 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
